Can I order personalised samples?
Unfortunately, due to the high cost of printing one-off samples I cannot offer this service, however, I hope that you will be able to see the high quality of all my stationery through the detailed sample packs I send out! My sample packs usually include a save the date, an invitation, an RSVP, a menu and a folded place card, as well as a belly-band and envelope options. If you have any questions about anything to do with samples, please just drop me an email on firstname.lastname@example.org.
What quantities should I order?
The most important thing to remember when ordering your stationery is that it is not one invitation per guest, as couples and families will need just one each most of the time! The main thing is to thoroughly check through your guest list before confirming your totals with me. I would also highly recommend that you order 10% extra, on applicable items, just to cover you if there are any last minute guests. It is much cheaper to order spares than to do a small print run later!
Can I change the wording on the stationery?
Absolutely! The samples you receive/images on the website, act as examples only and I fully expect you to change the wording. Everyone has different requirements, from something quirky and original to the more traditional. Please be aware that there is only a limited amount of space on each piece of stationery before it will start to look cluttered and potentially confusing to your guests. The best way around this issue, if you have a lot of information you wish your guests to have in advance, is to consider including an additional information card with your invitations. Each of my ranges has this as an option and there you can include any details that are not relevant to the invitation itself, such as parking, accommodation details and directions etc.
What should I be aware of when I am checking my proofs?
This is a super important part of the process, so please take your time in checking the following information thoroughly: wedding date, time, venue (including the address) and all of the names. Also have a look at the layout to make sure it is what you want and is correct. Contact me with any amendments you feel are needed and I will re-send digital proofs for another check! To help avoid any mistake or oversights, please grab some family or friends to help you look over your proofs as, once they are signed off, nothing more can be changed as the printing process will commence immediately.
When should I order my wedding stationery?
The general rule of thumb for save the dates is to get them out to guests as soon as you know the date of your wedding day (don't underestimate how long some people need to get organised!). If you have family and friends that will be travelling a long distance, be sure to get theirs out as a priority. For invitations, I would suggest you order them 12-15 weeks before the wedding, which allows for design alterations, any further adjustments (if required), printing and delivery. Once again, consider your guests who may be needing to organise travel bookings to ensure they have plenty of notice.
Once the stationery has gone off to the printers how long will it take to be delivered to me?
As soon as the printers have received your approved designs the whole process should take no longer than 14 days. As soon as I collect your order from the printers I will package it all up for you, including putting all your invitation packs together (where relevant), and send it out within a couple of days. Please note that if you have asked me to hand-letter your guests envelopes and/or your place cards, the process will be extended, however we will discuss this via email so we ensure everything fits into your timeline.
How will my stationery be organised?
Unless you have stated otherwise, I will put your invitation sets together, ready to be sent out. If you wish to do this yourself please let me know in advance. Everything will be lovingly packaged and all snug when it arrives with you, so you can enjoy the process of unwrapping it all for the first time.
I need to place an urgent order, is this possible?
I will always try my very best to accommodate couples who need last minute wedding stationery. The answer to whether or not it is possible is all down to what I have going on at that specific time, so the best thing to do is to get in touch as soon as you can and we can discuss your requirements and see if I have the ability to fulfill your order. What is your returns policy?
The first 50% payment you make is non-refundable under any circumstances. As the designs I do for you are personalised, and therefore not reusable, they cannot be returned or refunded. However, if you experience any problems with your order, it is best to get in touch with me and discuss what can be done to rectify the issue.
